Each class with Rabbi Borodin will explore a different aspect of Judaism and a different artistic technique. Class will include both a formal learning presentation and art time. Folks are welcome to come to one session or some or all, but please sign up in advance so you can receive a list of supplies to have at hand for the lesson. At the end of each session, we will explain the following week’s project, so you will be best prepared if you attend the whole series. The sessions will be:

1. Insights into the mystery of the Hebrew letter: Hebrew calligraphy, sofrut and unpacking visual torah.
2.  Exploring Midrash through working with layered art
3.  Masking and unmasking in the book of Esther, and creating your own mask
