Hanukkah Cooking: Sephardic and Ashkenazi Treats – Thursday, December 10, 7:00pm – 8:15pm

Congregation Beth Shalom and Sephardic Bikur Holim are excited to invite you to learn some new Hanukkah recipes over Zoom. Cooking demonstrations will be led by Margot Kravette on her latkes with special toppings and Nicole Scharhon on making Bumuelos. We’ll have time to schmooze/eschar lashon, hear some Torah from Rabbis Borodin and Hassan, and we will conclude with candle lighting.

Havdalah + Hanukkah Candlelighting – Saturday, December 12 at 5:45pm

Join us to bid farewell to Shabbat and to light Hanukkah candles (and to admire each other’s chanukiyot!), followed by singing some Hanukkah songs together, led by Marianne Tatom and Harvey Niebulski. Contact Rabbi Rose for the Zoom link.

Doughnut Drive Through – Sunday, December 13, 3:30-5:00pm

Drive through the CBS parking lot (enter from 35th Ave NE) to pick up some homemade doughnuts to enjoy.

 

Matanot and Chaverim (2nd-5th Grade Youth Group) Hanukkah Party – Sunday, December 13th  @5pm

Let’s come together on zoom with our shinshiniyot, Shoval and Liel, to celebrate Hannukah! We will make some delicious jelly donut mug cakes (microwaved in a mug), compete in a dreidel tournament, and more. Ingredients for the jelly donut mug cake: butter, flour, 1 egg, sugar, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, jam of your choice. See you on Zoom! Have a Hannukah sweater? Make sure to wear it! 6th-8th Grade Hannukah Celebration – Sunday, December 15th at 4:30pm (during Prozdor for 6th/7th graders)

SBH (Sephardic Bikur Holim) and CBS (Congregation Beth Shalom) are so excited to bring you a very special Zoom Hannukah Celebration. All middle schoolers are welcome! We will get to know each other, learn to make two delicious Hannukah treats, one Ashkenazic and one Sephardic, and light Hannukah candles together- make sure to have your Hannukiah close by!
