Prayerbook Hebrew & You with Sharon Greenberg
Class begins on 10/25. The instructor will accept new students through the third week of class (11/8), depending on student's reading skills.
This class will increase your familiarity with the Siddur (prayerbook), building vocabulary, grammar, and understanding of the structure and meaning of prayers based on learning Hebrew roots. We will use the Siddur itself as our main textbook, with student interest informing the prayers we study. Prerequisite: knowledge of the alef-bet and some reading skills are required.
Format: In person
Time: Tuesdays, 7:00-7:55pm
Dates: Oct. 25, 2022–Jan. 31, 2023 with no class on Nov. 22, Dec. 20, Dec. 27 (12 sessions)
Cost: $180/Member, $240/Non-member
Beth Shalom will refund tuition in the event a course is canceled. Students who withdraw from a course and request a refund within two weeks of the course’s start date are eligible for a pro-rated refund. Tuition will not be refunded for course withdrawal after two weeks from a course’s start date.
